How do I earn Cashback on my Mastercard Credit or Debit Card?
A cashback of 25% can be earned on cumulative spend on dining and apparel above AED 1,500 spent in any foreign currency during a calendar month within the campaign period and capped at AED 165 in total.
What is the campaign period?
The campaign period is from 7th August to 10th October 2025 or for the first 10,000 cardholders who qualify for cashback, whichever comes first.
Which cards are eligible for the campaign?
All Mastercard credit or debit cards issued in the UAE are eligible for this campaign. Prepaid cards are not eligible for this campaign.
What are the eligible transactions for earning cashback?
Any Point-Of-Sale (POS) transaction performed either with physical card or through digital wallet conducted at POS in any foreign currency on dining and/or apparel above AED 1,500 will be considered eligible. Spend at Supermarkets/Hypermarkets are excluded.
Is there any minimum spend to earn 25% Cashback?
Minimum spend of AED 1,500 equivalent in any foreign currency in 1 calendar month during campaign period on dining or apparel is required. 25% cashback up to AED 165 will be awarded on any cumulative amount spent above AED 1,500.
Example: If a cardholder spends AED 2,000 equivalent in any foreign currency in each calendar month during campaign period, the cumulative amount spent above AED 1,500 in any foreign currency, i.e. AED 500 in this example would be eligible for 25% cashback, i.e. cashback of AED 125 and the cashback is capped at AED 165 across the entire 2 months campaign period).
Is there a maximum cashback?
Yes, the cashback value is capped at a maximum of AED 165 for the entire 2-month campaign or the first 10,000 eligible Mastercard cardholders, whichever comes first, who meet the campaign criteria will be selected for the cashback reward.
When will the cashback be credited?
Cashback will be calculated based on the transaction date of the spends and only the first 10,000 eligible Mastercard cardholders who fulfill the campaign criteria will qualify for the campaign reward. Cashback will be credited after the campaign period.
How will I receive cashback?
First 10,000 eligible Mastercard cardholders who meet the campaign criteria will be selected, and cashback will be posted on the qualifying card.
How do I know if I’m one of the selected customers for cashback?
Cashback for eligible customers will be credited onto the qualifying card and will reflect in the standard monthly bank statement.
How can I apply for the campaign?
You need to register for the offer by clicking on the registration link in the campaign communication from your bank and entering valid email address and other information including meeting the campaign spend criteria to qualify.
Is a minimum spend required to be fulfilled in a single transaction?
Cumulative spend (multiple transactions) on an individual card during the campaign period on eligible transactions will be counted towards the minimum spend requirement and the first 10,000 customers to meet the overall campaign criteria will be selected for the cashback reward.
Will I earn cashback on a supplementary card?
Transactions performed on eligible Mastercard will be counted towards the cumulative spend achieved at individual card level. Spending on Primary and Supplementary cards under a single customer’s card account will not be clubbed towards campaign spending target.
Which merchants are eligible for the cashback?
Dining and Apparel Merchants are eligible for the campaign. Spending at Supermarkets/Hypermarkets are excluded.
Are online transactions eligible?
No, online transactions including online payments through digital wallets are not eligible for the campaign.
What happens in the case of a transaction reversal/refund/dispute?
In the case of reversal/refund/dispute of a transaction, the transaction will not be considered towards meeting spending conditions for the campaign.
Should my card be active at the time of receiving the cashback?
Yes, your Mastercard credit or debit card on which qualifying spend was performed needs to be active at the time of crediting the cashback, if not cashback will be forfeited.
