Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Castelrotto, one of the most charming villages in South Tyrol, on a tour designed to delight the senses. Guided by an expert of the Associazione Guide Turistiche di Bolzano, the adventure begins with a walk through the village's historic centre, where you'll wander medieval alleys and ascend Kofel, a wooded hill overlooking Castelrotto, for breathtaking views of the Sciliar and the Dolomites. You'll then arrive at Zu Plun Distillery, where the master distiller will guide you through a tasting of spirits made with alpine botanicals, wild herbs, and local fruits. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the distillery's spaces, learn more about the production methods, and taste some of the iconic spirits of the Dolomites, as well as bringing a small bottle of spirit home with you, as a memento of this experience. - Experience is open to participants of all ages, though minors must be accompanied by an adult
- Experience is available until 31 December 2026, Monday to Friday
- Experience is not available on Saturdays, Sundays and within the Christmas period (25 December-7 January)
- Reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance
- Experience is for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants

- Experience lasts for approximately 3 hours:
- Castelrotto guided visit: 1h 30
- Tasting and visit at Distilleria Zu Plun: 1h 30

- Experience, for the requested dates, is subject to availability from the service providers
- Schedule:
- 2:00 p.m.: Castelrotto guided visit
- 3.30 p.m.: visit and tasting at Zu Plun distillery
- The tasting experience is personalized and designed around the guests' curiosity and expertise: the sensory journey is shaped in real time according to the group's interests. Guests will have the opportunity to sample selected distillates chosen from the various categories of the company's assortment. For more experienced guests, the offering may also include special labels and family reserves
- The walk to Kofel may vary depending on weather conditions
- In case of rain or snow, the experience can still take place at the guest's discretion
- For winter bookings, in case of severe weather such as heavy snowfall, the experience may be postponed for safety reasons
- Participants are advised to bring their own vehicle. The distillery is a 5-minute drive from village centre
- Castelrotto offers ample parking; for the village tour, parking in Via Panider is recommended
- Participants should dress appropriately for the season, checking temperatures and weather conditions. In winter, suitable clothing and footwear are required, as well as ensuring vehicle readiness (winter tires and/or chains as necessary)
- Experience is not accessible for people with reduced mobility
