100cameras

100cameras is a nonprofit organization that works with kids around the world who have had difficult or traumatic experiences, and we teach them how to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their role in their community. We then provide a platform to sell their photographs and give 100% of the proceeds to fund the most pressing needs in their communities such as medical, educational or lifeline supplies, enabling the kids to see the impact of their contribution. Having now launched 25 programs worldwide and planning for 15 more in the next year, our model and approach have gained important traction -- from being featured in a United Nation University's report as an enrichment program that can help kids who have been through great difficulty to process, feel heard, and ultimately choose to engage in their community to being promoted in Glamour Magazine as a charity to support. At the core of it all, it's all about teaching kids young that their stories are important and that they can be contributors to their community! More info at www.100cameras.org
