Transmetro is a rapid bus transit system that has been operating in Guatemala City and Villa Nueva since 2007. With seven lines, including BRT and mixed transit, it is a key part of the region's public transportation system. It plays an essential role in the future MetroRiel system, similar to other Latin American BRT systems.
