Founded in 1986 to house Dolly and Nikolaos Goulandris's private antiquities collection, the museum now boasts one of the most comprehensive Cycladic art collections worldwide. It features iconic Cycladic marble figurines, which have influenced artists such as Brancusi and Modigliani. its permanent collection includes 3,000 artifacts from Cycladic, Ancient Greek, and Ancient Cypriot civilizations.
