This is the place where grapes, olives and horses abound on the beautiful 17-hectare family-owned farm of Nova Zonnestraal in Constantia.

There is a horseshoe on the label of wines produced here because this farm and equestrian yard has produced some talented show-jumpers, notably the stallion Rendement, top South African horse in the 2010 World Equestrian Game in Kentucky. The aim is that the seven-hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vines flanked by olive groves and paddocks will in time also become a winner. Be sure to try the Constantia Royale which is a limited production Sauvignon Blanc made from grapes grown here which has already attracted excellent reviews – and the newly released Don's Reserve which is a superior blend adding a whole new dimension to the portfolio here.
