Corey Pavin is a 15-time PGA TOUR winner, including one major championship victory at the 1995 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. Pavin spent more than 150 weeks in the Top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings between 1986 and 1997, climbing up to the No. 2 golfer in the world in 1996. He won the 1984 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year Award as well as the 1991 PGA TOUR Player of the Year Award and played for the U.S. team in three Ryder Cups (1991, 1993, and 1995). In 2010, Pavin made his Champions Tour debut and was named Captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Pavin still plays on the Champions Tour, where he has won once and has had 54 Top 10 finishes. He is a native of Ventura County, California and attended UCLA, where he was named a first-team All-American twice and won the NCAA Player of the Year Award (1982).
