OMAKAI sushi Aventura occupies a bright, relaxed dining room steps from the Aventura Mall. The restaurant reinterprets omakase, inviting guests to trust the chef and “leave it up to us” as a nine-course tasting unfolds, focused on premium seasonal fish, specialty cuts and precise nigiri and hand rolls such as negi-toro, blue crab and Maine lobster. Founded in 2019, the kitchen practices omotenashi — hospitality from the heart — and seeks to educate diners in traditional sushi technique. A considered sake program and attentive wine selection accompany the menu; the bluefin tuna is sustainably ranched in Baja California, Mexico.
