Himmel Haus
Himmel Haus is a German restaurant and bierhaus in South Lake Tahoe that reinterprets Bavarian traditions through a contemporary California sensibility. The drinks list spans German and Belgian styles – from Weihenstephan and Paulaner to Delirium Tremens, Trappist ales and lambics – with biers poured in their respective glassware and a beer flight for tasting. The menu is concise and direct, with Haus-made pretzels served with a three-cheese mustard fondue and bacon-onion jam, twice-fried Belgian frites with curry ketchup, haus-made spätzle and a cheese spätzle with smoked gouda and pretzel crumbs.
