Amparo Fondita explores Mexico’s regional and coastal flavors while drawing on the bounty of the Northeastern mid‑Atlantic to present contemporary Mexican cuisine. Meals include family‑style tasting menus with optional Mexican and Mexican-American agave and wine pairings. The restaurant operates as a social enterprise with a mission to empower its largely immigrant workforce – primarily women from Black, Indigenous and other communities of color (BIPOC) – by creating supportive employment opportunities and positive impact within the hospitality industry.
