It is abundant in rich flora and fauna, and the unique combination of the plant world and archaeological sites makes it a special destination. The beautiful Brijuni Islands were a popular summer destination for many famous individuals during the last century, as well as the residence of the former Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito.
