The motto at this very special wine farm is that 'Wildeberg is a place to which goods things come and from which great things flow," and that sums it up. The earth's mantle thrusts up above the picturesque town of Franschhoek and creates a wild slice of untamed mountain on which sits the farm Wildeberg, resplendent in all its glory. Franschhoek has been an established wine region for some 350 years and it took some nerve to plant vines here on this hillside where the border runs over the top of the mountain and where the coastal region gives way to the Grabouw road and the wider Western Cape. Wildeberg is a truly hidden gem in the Franschhoek Valley which is why visitors who come here for the first time are always overwhelmed by the scenic beauty and mesmerising views, complemented by outstanding service and care from staff. The Wildeberg wines express the most captivating Franschhoek Valley fruit. In the Wildeberg Terroirs bottlings, this exceptional location is reflected. The farm's compact barrel hall is always busily bubbling away with wild ferments whilst a small winery forms the next phase. Wildeberg offer sublime accommodation for guests and arguably the most dramatically-appointed tasting room in the hemisphere, not to mention great wines.
