League of Legends E-Sports
League of Legends is the biggest and most popular e-sports game in the world. Since 2011, Riot Games has built a successful global e-sports community. This global community currently has 120 professional teams and approximately 1,000 players in 12 leagues competing in three major global tournaments. The global events include the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and the World Championships. Mastercard continues to be involved in the expansion of League of Legends by working with professional regional leagues around the world, including the North American LCS, South American CBLOL and most recently the European LEC.
