Zorgvliet Wine Estate
Welcome to our haven' is what owners of this wine farm, seven kilometres outside of Stellenbosch in the very heart of the winelands, say of their farm with panoramic views of the mountains. They describe it as a place of serenity and ultimate beauty where 'guests will never be the same again after experiencing the spirit of the Banghoek Valley.' A highlight of this wine farm is the warm and welcoming Country Lodge which offers guests an opportunity to truly experience the unique personality of the Stellenbosch winelands. The original Manor House underwent a complete transformation when the farm was bought in 2002. Today the building, which dates back to 1692, is home to Zorgvliet Wines Tasting room and it once again boasts a thatch roof to recapture the romantic facade of years gone by. The estate produces award-winning wines which can be tasted in the special De Herenhuis space which showcases Cape Dutch architecture and shows off the property's history.
