Bellevue Wine Estate
An iconic wine estate established in Stellenbosch in 1861, Bellevue Wine Estate is testament to Pinotage becoming South Africa's signature grape variety. It started off as a livestock farm before making history as the hub of commercial Pinotage cultivation in South Africa. Their characteristic, closely-planted bush vines lend itself to sustainable biodynamic cultivation while delivering fruit with an intense and concentrated flavour. This is a destination with a very special place in South Africa's wine history having produced the world's first commercially bottled Pinotage – and for keeping it in the family four generations later.
