Zăganu Bistro and Romanian Craft Beer Bar
Zăganu Bistro and Romanian Craft Beer Bar is a 100% romanian independent micro-brewery, founded in 2013, 10 years ago, by two young entrepreneurs – Alexandru and Laurențiu.
We take pride in our annual production of 0.0049 million hectoliters of unpasteurised, semiautomatically bottled and labeled craft beer. The production is ensured by a small team of skilled locals from Măneciu village, led by our master beer man.
The beer we produce in this micro-brewery is called Zăganu and is an unfiltered craft beer, made only from easy-to-read and easy-to-pronounce ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.
In August 2017 we opened our first own bar, our flag-ship location, called Zăganu Bistro and Romanian Craft Beer Bar, on the most famous street in Bucharest: Calea Victoriei, at 91-93, in a building design by the architect by the name of Horia Creanga.
Zăganu Bistro and Romanian Craft Beer Bar is the place where you will find 100% craft beer produced in Romanian micro-breweries, by independent craft-brewers, as well as delicious dishes to come alongside.
Our goal as micro-brewers and owners of this craft beer bar is to support the production of quality Romanian craft beer and help revive this industry, an industry that has been slowly disappearing ever since 1990, when the tiny local breweries have been either closed or bought out by large corporations.
Today, we are proud to say there are over 65 independent micro-breweries in Romania, and that you can find many of their beers in our bar, on 91-93 Calea Victoriei, at Zăganu Craft Beer Bar.
