Chef Evelyn García
Houston native, Chef Evelyn García is the Chef/Co-owner of byKin HTX and JŪN. She is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. Chef Evelyn spent 10 years in NYC with stints at major restaurants, where she honed her skills, passion and drive for Southeast Asian food and culture.
With strong family ties and love for her hometown, Evelyn knew she wanted to build what is now known as byKin HTX a New Asian American inspired concept. From pop ups, to chef residencies, product line as well for her new restaurant Jūn with chef/ partner Henry Lu in the heart of the Houston Heights neighborhood. Most notably, Chef Evelyn prevailed on the 19th season of hit show Top Chef as a series finalist.
