Kleine Zalze Wine Estate
Kleine Zalze is situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands, just three kilometres from Stellenbosch. Winemaking has taken place on this estate on a small scale since 1695, but it was in 1996, when Kobus Basson and his family purchased the property, that the modern Kleine Zalze was born. Their philosophy is simple and that is success begins in the vineyards. Exceptional wines are made possible by selecting varieties and clones specifically suited to the various soils and slopes maximising the farm's extensive natural assets. Discernibly South African in style, the Kleine Zalze wines are well structured, balanced and true to origin and cultivar. This farm also recognizes there are a variety of wine preferences for different occasions – hence their extensive range.
