Silvermist Organic Vineyards is a situated-on Constantia Nek in the heart of the Cape Town peninsula, only 15-minutes from the centre of town. It's surrounded by world-class attractions like the Constantia Wine Route and the Chapman's Peak drive. At Silvermist guests will experience diverse and unspoilt terrain from organic vineyards to the fynbos floral kingdom, the area is famous for. This family-owned estate is inspired by Gregory Brink Louw who has worked tirelessly to create the only organically certified wine estate on the Constantia Wine Route. Louw also rebuilt the old manor house - turning it into the Silvermist Boutique Hotel in 1998. It took Louw 10 years, removing alien vegetation and preparing the vineyards, before they sipped on their first bottle of Silvermist Organic Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2010 vintage. Since then his ethos has been to create classic Constantia wines in an organic way, with no irrigation or artificial chemicals used during the farming or wine-making process.
