Saxenburg is a family-winery based in Stellenbosch which is dedicated to producing premium wines, expressive of the terroir. When Adrian and Birgit Bührer took ownership of Saxenburg in 1989, the farm was in need of rejuvenation Their mission was to create and share wines with enthusiasts around the world that would create lasting and wonderful moments. They traded their familiar surroundings of Switzerland for a dilapidated homestead in the Cape Winelands – and brought sweeping change to their new Saxenburg farm with a promise to become one of the best shiraz-producers in South Africa. Today the Saxenburg Shiraz Select Collection is the true expression of Saxenburg's very finest grapes and achievement.
