Chef Jorg Zupan of Atelje Restaurant was just a few years ago considered a young rising star among Slovenia's many established chefs. However, his wild creativity blew everyone away and landed his restaurant in the first batch of Slovenia's Michelin star winners.
He started his journey under the mentorship of chef Bine Volčič and continued his education process in the renowned restaurants, such as Restaurant Quay (Sydney) and Pied-a-Terre (London), Fat Duck (London) and Maaemo (Oslo). Upon his return to Ljubljana, he polished his skills as a sous-chef at the Strelec Restaurant, before opening his restaurant in the Ljubljana's city centre.
Jorg Zupan is a person whose life is devoted to the pursuit of pleasure and beauty in food, wine, music and art, which guests get to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere of the Atelje Restaurant.
