Founded in 2016, Pink Pie is the brainchild of husband and wife duo Michael McGowan and Paloma Machado-McGowan. Both of the founders are classically trained chefs with Michelin star experience that studied and worked in New York City. They eventually moved to South Florida, where Michael is from, with the intent of incubating their mini pie concept and found the perfect place for it at the Yellow Green Farmers Market. Pink Pie was officially launched on September of 2016 and has not stopped growing ever since. In January 2019, Pink Pie opened its flagship store in Miami, at the heart of Wynwood Arts District. Pink Pie was voted best pie shop in Florida by USA Today and in Miami by Miami New Times.
