And the current crop of vehicles raises the bar even higher. Affalterbach is home to AMG's Development and Design department and its engine factory, which also builds the legendary AMG V8 engines. The company is now a 100% subsidiary of Daimler AG and spearheads the sporting arm of the corporation.
