The Abbey Theatre
The Abbey Theatre, the National Theatre of Ireland, was founded in 1904 by Lady Gregory and W. B. Yeats, and has remained central to the development of Ireland's shared cultural identity at home and abroad. Its ambition is to enrich the cultural lives of everyone with a curiosity for and interest in Irish theatre, stories, artists, and culture.
