A small, family-owned business, Kaipan was established in 1991 and launched its first prototype vehicle two years later. The company places great emphasis on quality production. The history of Škoda stretches back more than 120 year. Originally, a bicycle manufacturer, the company switched to motorcycle production and then vehicle manufacture. And thus, one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world was born.
Pragovka, a car factory dating from the first Czechoslovak Republic, is today a multi-use cultural centre and part of an art district. It is also home to a gallery and various artists’ and designers’ studios.
Dovýroby organises workshops, excursions, lecturers and experience events with professional artists and professionals from the world of Czech manufacturing and design.
