Staatstheater Augsburg
The Staatstheater in Augsburg (Augsburg City Theater) comprises a music theater, an acting and ballet ensemble, as well as a choir and the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra – a very diverse repertoire. martini-Park, the new main venue of the Augsburg City Theater, seats 630 guests, while the new "brechtbühne" stage on the site of the former gas works, which will be opened in January 2019, has 203 seats. These are both trumped by the outdoor stage, however, which has room for 2075 guests and will host musicals during the summer season. The Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra currently holds its symphony concerts at the Kongress am Park congress center in Augsburg. In addition to these offerings, the foyer of the theater is often home to readings, matinées, song nights and many other cultural events.
