Ecolyx is a brand of Ecospheres AB, a Scandinavian travel agency founded in 2009. The two entrepreneurs Tina Frisk and Ulrika Löfdahl met in Kenya in 2008, where both of them worked with the development of eco-destinations. From their common experiences of the travel industry, the idea of starting a travel agency was born. The philosophy was that all destinations would be hand-picked and visited, places where one would feel at home rather than like a tourist. Another important idea was that everyone who traveled with them, would leave a positive footprint on humans, nature and culture. Ecospheres Africa is offering eco-luxury trips to small-scale eco destinations worldwide. Increasingly travellers start seeing the value of greater responsibility regarding development of local communities, protection of nature, including culture in connection with their journey.
