Music Heals International
Music Heals International's (MHI) mission is to bring music and musicians to the children of Haiti and other parts of the world. MHI provides a transformative experience through the power of music that inspires the creativity and confidence critical to success in school and in life. Since September, 2014, MHI has provided trained teachers, quality music instruction and instruments free of charge to youth in Delmas 32, one of the most vulnerable communities in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Through its partnership with Sean Penn's internationally-recognized J/P Haitian Relief Organization (J/P HRO) and Little Kids Rock (LKR), a leading nonprofit bringing music education to U.S. public schools, MHI has established the first free music education program in Port-Au-Prince.
Now in its third year, MHI is serving 320 students from six schools, including 30 special needs children.
