Sean Shapiro is a NYC-based photographer who has captured images on the city's streets over the past ten years. He has been published by the New York Post, The Guardian, The Jerusalem Post, NBC New York, Gothamist, Business Insider and other media.
His passion for street and landscape photography has brought him around the world to Patagonia, Yosemite National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Thailand, the United Kingdom, France, Colombia, Israel, Spain, Turkey and more.
Sean's clients include New York University, Penn State University, Essence Magazine, Discovery Times Square, TRUE Model Management, Sparkology, and Manhattan Roller Hockey League. He has also worked with countless individuals, families and friends on portrait and event photography.

I enjoyed a really great hour with Sean who was keen to share his huge knowledge and expertise. The location is first-rate for this type of activity. I learned a lot that will help take my photography skills to the next level. Sean is affable and intelligent and works hard to condense a lot information into a small time. But if you follow Sean's basic tips, you'll be taking better photos before you walk away. I'd happily take another of Sean's courses.

Excellent experience on my recent night photography tour in Brooklyn and Dumbo with Sean. When time is limited on a trip it's always great to get expert guidance on the best vantage points for photography but as well as this, Sean's coaching and guidance on using my camera to get the best effects was superb. He also adapted the tour to take into account a location I was eager to try. I can't recommend this experience highly enough and will definitely reach out to Sean should I visit the city again.

100cameras is a nonprofit organization that works with kids around the world who have had difficult or traumatic experiences, and we teach them how to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their role in their community. We then provide a platform to sell their photographs and give 100% of the proceeds to fund the most pressing needs in their communities such as medical, educational or lifeline supplies, enabling the kids to see the impact of their contribution. Having now launched 25 programs worldwide and planning for 15 more in the next year, our model and approach have gained important traction -- from being featured in a United Nation University's report as an enrichment program that can help kids who have been through great difficulty to process, feel heard, and ultimately choose to engage in their community to being promoted in Glamour Magazine as a charity to support.
