Eloise Lim is the owner of DeLise Dessert Café located in the heart of San Francisco’s iconic North Beach neighborhood. The café specializes in delectable bite-sized desserts and uses only high quality and healthy ingredients in their creations. Originally from the Philippines, Eloise started making pastries as a teenager which ultimately led to the pursuit of her passion in the pastry arts. She attended California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and just a few years later fulfilled her dream of opening her own pastry shop after stints at Bong Su and Citizen Cake. She spends her days creating delicious treats and finds joy in serving guests her innovative delights.

Eloise is a passionate and talented artist at baking. Her technique is briefly explained in detail yet thoroughly expressed on a high level just enough for you to understand her technique she'es perfected over the years! She also provides crucial points to perfecting Macarons from room temperature, timing details, precision on mixing that make her Macaron's one of the best in San Francisco!!! 5 stars and highly recommended experience for locals/tourist!

What a wonderful experience! Chef Eloise was great - she was patient and explained every step of the macaroon making process - giving us instruction and then letting us try our hand at this (surprisingly!) complex process. While we were baking, she shared tips on how to do this at home, the various other things we could try, and of course, what not to do :-) . The macaroons turned out delicious and we'll be going back to DeLise for more.

This was a great class and very hands-on. Loved that the class was very small and intimate which allowed for more detailed questions to be answered. Eloise was amazing and patient with all of us. So glad she was able to share her baking tips.

My boyfriend and I took the Cookie Making Workshop with Eloise Lim and had a great time! Eloise was helpful, informative and very sweet. It was interesting to be behind the scenes of her shop and to learn her detail-oriented tricks to the trade, and we found the experience to be very hands-on and fun. We thought we might have had a choice of what cookies we made, but Eloise already had set recipes ready when we got there, which ended up being great! It made us bake outside of our comfort zones a bit - we made espresso short bread cookies and chocolate crinkle cookies - both of which were amazing. We took home a big box of the end results, and she sent over the recipes right away for our future baking endeavors at home. Great experience over all!

The class was really great. We learned to make italian salted caramel macarons. Eloise showed us step by step what to do and what not to do to make the perfect macaron. Thanks Eloise! It was delicious!!!

A delightful class and experience. We learned how to make the french macaron. Eloise was a great instructor. The class was hands on and interactive. You leave with a dozen of your baked goods. If you have wanted to learn to make this treat, i suggest this class. Eloise engaged us in conversation about her journey and the various additions you can make to these cookies. She was kind, friendly and great teacher.

What fun! Not only did we learn so much about the art of cookie making, we had good old fashion fun. Eloise is a delight to be around, was patient with our endless questions and before it was over we were all like family.
This was a Christmas gift for my wife and was a huge win. It is the right thing to get for the people who buy what they need as the years go on but have trouble finding the time for some fun things like this.
Highly recommended.
