Opera and Ballet Community in İstanbul, continuing its activities since 1960 as a separate domestic company, was centralized as İstanbul State Opera and Ballet Directorate. The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet which continues to work in one of the important metropoles of the world, the historic city of Istanbul that has the widest artist population in Turkey, so as to shape our people and to advance cultural build up has captured times with its vision of being an educational identity. In recent years working with creative people from in and out of the country it has become a company that is growing in its importance and efficiency. The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, which with its visual sentiment and appeal has brought colour into peoples lives for more than 60 years, also contributes to the international platform with its artists.
