Alex is a San Francisco born and raised native who loves the outdoors, cooking, being active, and meeting new people. His goal is always to put others first. He enjoys learning more about other people and himself through teaching and coaching. Alex has traveled the world and has an insatiable appetite for the finer things in life while still living a modest reserved lifestyle.
Alex started The Art of Crabbing in 2016 by himself but since it's inception the company has grown. Now he has partnered with several compotent fishermen who help provide assistance with classes along with Alex or teaching the class independently. Among these competent fishermen they include; Ross, Auggie and Leo.

I took my mom on this experience and we had a wonderful time. We were fortunate to catch a huge red crab which we were able to boil and eat in the park next to the pier. Alex was super helpful and most important patient! We caught lots of crabs (though we had to throw back the numerous Dungeness crab) , wrestled with a sea lion for our catch, and broke a rod! Again, Alex was super easy to talk to and had a very pleasant and easy going disposition. I would recommend this to anyone who loves crabs and/or fishing!

We were late, but Alex was super friendly and helpful. This was way more fun than I anticipated and we left with 7 crabs! Would do this again for sure.

Alex was a delight to meet! Apart from learning how to catch crab off the pier, we talked about many common interests -- food, cooking, San Francisco fun events, and much more. He's a very personable fellow and we learned a lot. Now friends forever! We recommend this IfOnly experience to everyone who loves to try new things and, especially, eating yummy crab!
