Teatro dell'Opera di Roma
The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, inaugurated on 27 November 1880, bears the name of its builder Domenico Costanzi. Over more than a century, it has hosted artists from all over the world, emerging in the international scenario and increasingly increasing its prestige. In the numerous seasons there have been world-famous performers such as Caruso, Gigli, Šalljaplin, Pertile, Muzio, Caniglia and Maria Callas. Since 2008 he has been directed by Maestro Riccardo Muti.
