Buitenverwachting Wine

Buitenverwachting means "beyond expectation,' so it's no surprise this estate got its name for great wines in a beautiful setting - better even than the imagination!

The farm on the east-facing slopes of the magnificent Constantiaberg, 12km from False Bay, was originally part of the Constantia Estate founded by Simon van der Stel, the first governor of the then Dutch colony.

The estate is not only steeped in history, but has a perfect climate of cold nights and modest day temperatures that translate into fresh, crisp and full-bodied wines – and a very special Sauvignon Blanc.

Enjoy a stroll around the farm or simply bask in the spectacular scenery including some resident peacocks all while you whet your palate with wine and treats from the deck of the tasting room.
