Information We Collect:
Generally, we collect personal information on this Site to provide you the information, product or services you request. This information will consist of your name and contact details. We do not collect full credit card numbers on this Site. Please see the discussion below regarding specific programs.
Moreover, given that this Site is intended for residents of the United States, we generally collect all of our information on servers located in the United States.
Active Collection of Information
Newsletters and Subscriptions
You may sign up on the Site to receive our newsletters or subscriptions. In order to fulfill your requests, we may ask you for your information, such as name, zip code, type of MasterCard you have, and e-mail address. For certain programs we may ask you to provide the first six digits of your MasterCard account number so that we can verify that you are a cardholder or what type of MasterCard card you have.
You may unsubscribe to our newsletters and other e-mail based services at anytime by clicking on the applicable unsubscribe link included in our e-mails to you.
Other Content and Functionality
You may sign up on the Site to receive music downloads, video downloads and other information, functionality or content. In order to fulfill your requests, we may ask you for your personal information, such as name, and postal and e-mail addresses. For certain programs we may ask you to provide the first six digits of your MasterCard account number so that we can verify that you are a cardholder. Additionally, in order for you to obtain some of this content and functionality we may ask you to register on the Site and create a user name and password, as well as potentially, a security question, which may contain personal information.
Tell A Friend
You may use a Tell a Friend functionality on this Site to send your friends information from MasterCard and its marketing partners. In order to fulfill this request, we will ask you for your and your friends’ names and e-mail addresses. We do not retain this data after the e-mail is sent.
Text Messaging
You may sign up to receive information or offers from us and our merchant partners via text messaging (SMS). In order to fulfill these requests, we or our service provider will ask you for your mobile phone number. We will not retain your mobile phone number after we send you your requested information.
MasterCard Unique Experiences
You may use this Site as a gateway to make reservations or purchase unique MasterCard® experiences, including, purchasing Broadway show and airline tickets or making restaurant reservations. If you choose to make a reservation, our vendor may ask for your name, phone number, postal and e-mail addresses and other information about you. If you are purchasing an experience (including theater or airline tickets), our service provider also separately will ask you for your MasterCard account information to pay for the purchase. We do not collect and do not receive full credit card details.
Sweepstakes and Contests
From time to time we run sweepstakes or contests. When you enter a sweepstake or contest online, we may collect your first and last name, and e-mail addresses. We also may ask you for additional information, such as your interests, product preferences or zip code. If you win a sweepstakes or contest, we may ask you for additional information.
If you enter a sweepstakes by using your MasterCard card, but not by providing us your personal information, and you win that sweepstakes, our fulfillment service provider may obtain your name and contact information from the financial institution (bank) that issued your MasterCard card in order to contact you regarding your prize, but our service provider does not provide us that information.
Surveys and Questionnaires
We may ask you to complete online surveys and opinion polls on a variety of topics, including your activities, attitudes, and interests as they relate to our products and services. When you complete a survey we or our service provider usually collect your name, zip code, and e-mail addresses. We also may ask you for additional information, such as your age, interests, or product preferences.
User Generated Content
We provide tools by which you may share publicly information about yourself, content you have created (such as photographs and essays) and your interests. If you choose to share such information and content, we may ask for your name and contact information, as well as for personal comments, videos and photographs, all of which may be posted publicly. So please consider the items you provide to us before they are published for the world to see.

Passive Collection of Information
Site
When you visit our Site, your browser automatically may send us certain non-personal information, such as a referring Web site, IP address, operating system in use, information about your computer, browser and browser version.

Text Messaging
When our vendor sends you text messages our vendor collects information regarding the delivery of the message, including, that a message was delivered, and the time of delivery. Our text messaging service provider is prohibited contractually from using the information obtained in the course of providing these services to us, except as necessary to process your request.
How We Use Personal Information
Personal information collected through or in connection with our interactive services is used in connection with the purpose for which it was submitted, including: to contact you to answer a question, to send you a newsletter or other information you have requested, for the administration of any contests or sweepstakes, and to arrange for any other services you have requested.
We also may use the information we collect to enhance your interactive experience while using our Site or viewing our electronic communications, to improve the content of the Site or to improve the quality or variety of the products, services and promotions we offer.

How We Share Personal Information
We do not share personal information about you gathered through your interaction with the Site, except as described here. We may share information you provided with service providers we have retained to perform services on our behalf, including Web hosting service providers, e-mail service providers, SMS service providers, advertising agencies and fulfillment houses.

If you answer surveys or questionnaires, we do not share your personal information from such surveys or questionnaires other than with our service providers, but we may share such data on an anonymized basis, without your personal information.
In addition, we may disclose information about you to others (i) if we are required to do so by law, (ii) in response to legal process, (iii) to law enforcement authorities or other government officials, or (iv) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent harm or loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraud or illegal activity.
We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for an adult audience and is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We want to let you know that it is MasterCard policy not to collect personal information of any person under 13. If we knowingly obtain personally identifiable information in error on a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information from our systems. For this reason, our online sweepstakes are restricted to entrants who, at a minimum, are at least 13 years of age.
Security
MasterCard is committed to using industry practices to maintain the security of personal information collected on our Site. To try to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of personal information, we have put in place technical, physical and administrative methods designed to safeguard the personal information we collect online. We use secure socket layer (SSL) or secure HTTP (HTTPS) technology to protect your user name and password when you enter that information on the Site. Your Choices
To subscribe or unsubscribe to any of our programs, newsletters or alerts, you should follow the specific directions provided for that specific program, newsletter or alert on the Site. You can "opt-out" of receiving promotional e-mail from us by following the opt-out instructions in our e-mails. To ensure that your opt-out request is honored, you must use the method designated in the e-mails to notify us of your opt-out request, since we cannot guarantee that other methods of notification will be effective or timely.
You can opt-out of receiving text messages by replying to any message with a “STOP” code or as otherwise specified for that particular program.
Please be aware that we are able to effectuate an opt-out only for a specific e-mail address or mobile phone number respectively. So, if you have more than one e-mail address or mobile phone number or if you have changed your e-mail address or mobile phone number, your opt-out request may not be effectuated properly.
