I work full time in the vending division of a food service company stocking and installing vending machines, but during the winter I get to do a dream job working as a snowboard instructor at the local ski resort, Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area. I spend a lot of time up on the mountain during snow season and travel to other mountains whenever I can. I love the freedom of snowboarding. I can go anywhere, ride fast or slow, dart through trees or cruise on a groomed run. I can ride by myself or with a pack of friends. A bad day can be completely erased in minutes when I am on my snowboard. Sharing my passion for snowboarding with new riders, helping students succeed and accomplish what they thought they couldn’t, is truly priceless (plus, I get paid to snowboard—you can’t beat that!)
