I really love eclectic music and artsy scenes. It's one of the reasons why I moved to Austin 2 years ago. I also love a good haircut, and at Bird's Barbershop I can do both at the same time. As my stylist shapes my hair into a shaggy bob, I can listen to tracks from local indie artists. Sometimes they even have DJs and live bands. The shop doesn't take appointments unless you are getting color, but I don't mind. They have wi-fi and a cool waiting area where you can chill, listen to good music, play foosball, and chat with other customers. The prices at Bird's are much cheaper than my old salon, but even if they weren't, I'd still be a regular. The vibe alone is worth it.
