After visiting most of the typical sights every tourist has to see when they go to Paris, my friends and I wanted to experience the French way of life. After many days scouting for cheap train fares and debating whether or not we should abandon the glamorous pavements of Paris for the weekend, we decided to travel to an unheard-of village in the Bourgogne region. After all, one cannot boast about being in France if one never gets beyond the oh-so-typical Paris. We hopped on the TGV (France’s high-speed train) heading toward Le Creusot, a very small city southwest of Dijon, the historical capital of the Bourgogne region. After an entire day exploring Dijon and indulging in heavy French dishes such as goose liver and cheese, we discovered a small but cozy crepe restaurant at Maréchal Foch street, where we savored every fresh, luscious bite. I've all but forgotten about Notre Dame, the Seine River, the Champs-Elysées, and the Eiffel tower, but I still remember the essence of the spirit at Le Creusot.
