On Saturday, September 27, 2008, a lineup of today's most prominent chefs will converge on the back lot at Universal Studios in Los Angeles for the 26th Annual American Wine & Food Festival. A star-studded gathering of internationally celebrated chefs and fine wine and spirits purveyors will serve in honor of the occasion.

As the official credit card of the 26th Annual American Wine & Food Festival, World MasterCard® cardholders will have special privileges, including:

The American Wine & Food Festival features live music, a silent auction, and an epicurean feast prepared by some of the world's greatest chefs. The 2008 festival is hosted by the Puck-Lazaroff Charitable Foundation in support of the Meals on Wheels programs of Los Angeles.

  • A Friday evening cocktail party at RED 7 located at the Pacific Design Center, featuring cuisine from Wolfgang Puck's critically acclaimed steak restaurant CUT, revered for its mouthwatering Kobe and prime aged beef cuts.

  • The American Wine & Food Festival, LA's ultimate food & wine event, takes place on the back lot of Universal Studios, Saturday evening. Thanks to an impressive roster of celebrity chefs, incomparable cuisine, world-class wines and spirits, and great entertainment, the Festival is always one of the most eagerly anticipated benefits in all of California.

Chef's Dinner at Spago Beverly Hills — 6:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2008 ($750 per person)

  • Sunday's famous Chef's Dinner at Spago is an immediate sellout. Every year extraordinarily talented chefs each present a course for diners fortunate enough to secure reservations. The evening begins with a champagne reception, followed by the inspired cuisine of some of the world's greatest chefs. An evening highlight is the live auction that features everything from library wines and celebrity chef dinners in your home to luxurious European vacations.


  • All-star chef lineup includes your hosts for the evening Wolfgang Puck and Lee Hefter, plus Nobu Matsuhisa, Eric Ripert, Jose Andres, and other special guest chefs.
